SineOn — Privacy Policy

The short version

SineOn has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The only data that ever leaves your device is what the global leaderboard and online multiplayer need to function, plus anonymous crash reports. You can erase your leaderboard data yourself, in the app, at any time.

What the app stores on your device

Settings, personal bests, ghost recordings, achievements, and a randomly generated leaderboard identifier. This stays on your device. Your operating system may include it in its normal device backup (Google / Apple) — that is deliberate: it is how your scores and leaderboard identity survive a reinstall or a new phone.

What is sent to our servers, and why

• Leaderboard submissions — your randomly generated identifier (a device-generated token, not derived from you or your hardware), your chosen three-character initials, and the run being submitted (score, variant, seed, and the input recording our server replays to verify the score is real). Stored until you delete them.
• Online multiplayer — your lobby display name and live gameplay inputs pass through our relay server to the other players. The relay holds them in memory only; nothing about a match is recorded. Connection addresses are used transiently for abuse protection (rate limiting) and are not stored.
• Crash reports — if the app hits an unexpected error, it sends the error message, a stack trace, a truncated browser/OS identifier, and the game version. No player identifier is attached. These live in short-lived server logs.

Everything runs on our own server (hosted with Hetzner, fronted by Cloudflare). There are no third-party data processors beyond that hosting infrastructure; the app makes no other network requests — even fonts ship inside the app.

What we never collect

No names, emails, or accounts. No precise location. No advertising identifiers. No contact lists, photos, or files. No behavioural analytics.

Public visibility

If you submit to the leaderboard, your initials and score are public, and the top run's input recording is publicly downloadable (that is how the "world best" ghost works).

Deleting your data

In the app: SETTINGS → RESET LEADERBOARD ID. This erases every leaderboard row you own on our server (including rows from past seasons) and resets your local identity. It is immediate and permanent.

Children

SineOn collects no personal information and has no social features beyond the three-character arcade initials and lobby names you choose yourself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears at this address with an updated effective date.
